HEAR HOW TO SAY IT!
The Mâcon-Lugny appellation is within the Mâcon-Villages area in the southern part of Burgundy, close to Beaujolais. Mâcon-Villages is the largest subregion within the Mâconnais, covering about 6,250 acres of vineyards and 43 separate communes. Mâcon-Villages are only white wines. The small village of Lugny is one of the most famous areas in the Mâconnais, and produces exceptional white wines made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape. Vineyards are situated on the Monts du Mâconnais, whose limestone subsoil imparts ideal characters of minerality, floral complexity and finesse to the Chardonnay grapes.
Light, sprightly and easy to drink, this dry wine shows white flower and apple aromas, with a note of lemon.
Pairs well with a range of foods, including poultry, pan-fried or grilled fish, and mild cheeses, such as goat’s milk varieties.
Made from the highest-quality fruit of the year’s harvest. Vinified without oak to retain the wine’s elegant aromas and clean, fresh character. Versatile with poultry, pan-fried or grilled fish, and mild cheeses, such as goat’s milk varieties.
